About J. Stevens Bloodstock

Josh Stevens is a Graduate of the University of Louisville, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Equine Industry with a minor in Finance. He grew up going to Churchill Downs with his family, and always had an obsession with racing. After completing the Kentucky Equine Management Internship in December of 2010, he continued his employment under Steve Johnson at Margaux Farm working to build the Margaux training program while also handling stallion nominations, sales, and client development. After 4 successful years at Margaux, Josh branched out to form his own management and consulting firm in 2014.

J. Stevens Bloodstock provides a complete range of bloodstock services with a focus on managing the client's complete program. Josh takes pride in cultivating new owners and helping them through the learning stages of Thoroughbred ownership.

Josh's farm experience has taught him what is necessary in raising a superior racehorse from foaling to training, each aspect equally important. His experience in starting and training young horses has helped him develop an understanding for what flaws horses can overcome and how to successfully manage different individuals so that each horse has the best chance to be successful. His philosophies are business centered first, but focus on doing right by each individual and giving them the best chance to succeed.
